I am taking a hiatus from blogging. The posts I now add will be unedited and unpolished, please forgive me. I am using this platform as a storage place for interesting things. I am currently focusing on editing wikipedia articles on contemporary art instead. I encourage you to do the same and to follow still very active blogs like hyperallergic, c-monster, bldgblog, and more. thanks you.

One Year of Contemporary Art Truck

I have now been blogging here for one year. In that time I have shown my art, interned at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, interned for Christopher West Presents, curated the first of several Contemporary Art Truck shows, moved to Brooklyn, got a job working for Tara Donovan, and contribute articles and content to C-monster.net. Things have been moving fast for me, and hopefully contemporaryartruck has improved because of it.

Although this website started as a means to store what I was interested in for my own use, the website now receives many viewers from all over the world. I would like to thank you all for looking at the blog, and ask you to please leave any comments you may have about Contemporary Art Truck as well as any suggestions to make this a better site, I would love to hear from you.

I hope to continue the recent trend of Megaposts. These posts of many images dealing with a simple subject have been receiving more traffic than ever. I also want to start writing more articles, either for c-monster.net or for here, and if any reader wishes to write and article for the site, I would love to hear from you. Ideally I will begin curating more shows out of my apartment, for galleries, and true to contemporary art truck's nature, in the street. I am already planning a show for LowRoad in Indiana and a contemporary art truck show in Bushwick, NY. Collaborators are needed.

As always submissions, collaborations, and interactions are essential to this website so please don't hesitate to comment, or email me at contemporaryartruck@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you and another year of blogging.

Thank you
Ben Valentine

  1. I want Contemporary Art Truck stickers, T-shirts, tote bags, and ice cream trucks. Can you make that happen?
