- Gregor Gaida sculptures (above and here) His website is not as impressive, but here.
- Defenestration (Merci Kaylee) awesome
public art project primarily involving attaching furniture to the outside of a building... of course San Francisco . I also should mention that the project might be shut down by the authorities and is currently trying to raise enough money, but none who looks at this site will send anything, so just check it out here. san francisco
- Dan Witz, doing something actually interesting with graffiti. Check them out here.
- Wolfgang Laib make installations or sculptures that are physically beautiful yet reflect or require a commitment of patience and almost ritualistic acts. The Milkstone, here is a slab of marble, carved just so that milk can cover the entire top, and becomes unnoticeable. The milk is replaced daily by the curator or owner. Laib also makes Rothko-like installations out of spice. See his Hazelnut spice floor thing here
I am taking a hiatus from blogging. The posts I now add will be unedited and unpolished, please forgive me. I am using this platform as a storage place for interesting things. I am currently focusing on editing wikipedia articles on contemporary art instead. I encourage you to do the same and to follow still very active blogs like hyperallergic, c-monster, bldgblog, and more. thanks you.
